A telephone conversation between Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin took place on November 15. This was reported by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The heads of state discussed the development of bilateral relations, including new promising projects. In particular, the presidents touched upon the issue of building a new power unit at the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant in Ostrovets.

Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin also discussed defense and security issues.

The heads of state also focused on the situation on the border of the Union State.

The presidents agreed to discuss issues and topics of mutual interest in more detail in the near future, primarily during the upcoming CSTO summit in Bishkek at the end of November.
