Lukashenko to visit Berestovitsa District

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is set to make a working trip to Grodno Oblast on 3 August, BelTA has learned.

The head of state will take stock of field work progress in the region, the social and economic development of the region, and will visit the cattle rearing complex in Berestovitsa District.

Special attention will be paid to the use of farming machinery. Aleksandr Lukashenko is expected to get familiar with the operation of new models of Gomselmash grain harvesters.

The president will also be updated on the implementation of the project to build cowsheds and a milking and dairy unit at the farm of the Olekshitsy agricultural enterprise and the fulfillment of his instructions to transfer the dairy herd to modern dairy complexes.

Earlier this week, Aleksandr Lukashenko made a working visit to Brest Oblast. Last Sunday, the head of state assessed the harvesting process in Minsk Oblast, Grodno Oblast and Brest Oblast during a helicopter trip over the regions. Last week, while receiving a report from Deputy Prime Minister Leonid Zayats, the president said that the following week would be dedicated to agriculture and that the head of state would spend it in the west of Belarus.
