Lukashenko signs law on ratification of e-signature agreement with Russia

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed the law on ratification of the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Russian Federation on the procedure for recognizing an electronic signature (e-signature) in an electronic document as part of cross-border electronic interaction, BelTA learnd from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.

This international agreement provides for mutual recognition of electronic signatures in electronic documents by Belarus and Russia.

The agreement will not cover cases when both participants of the cross-border electronic interaction are government bodies and subjects of banking and payment legal relations.
