Lukashenko, Putin hold phone talks

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko held a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on 26 May, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The presidents discussed key current issues on the bilateral Belarusian-Russian agenda and the international situation.

Vladimir Putin expressed gratitude to his Belarusian counterpart for the assistance provided in organizing a “1,000 for 1,000” prisoner swap in furtherance of agreements reached in Istanbul.
