The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' on the anniversary of his enthronement, the press service of the head of state reports.

Alexander Lukashenko wished the head of the Russian Orthodox Church spiritual and physical sthrength in the name of his tireless service to the Church of Christ.

"You are a spiritual leader for millions of Orthodox believers from different countries. Through your archpastoral ministry and prayer, you help people strengthen their faith and confessional unity", the congratulatory message says.

The head of state is convinced that the ascetic labors of Patriarch Kirill will continue to fully contribute to the noble cause of strengthening good-neighborly relations between the two brotherly nations. "Today, in an era of global challengers and the most severe upheavals, the genuine unity of Belarussian and Russian takes on special significance and becomes a reliable stronghold", the President of Belarus emphasized in his message of congratulations.
