Lukashenko extends St. Euphrosyne Convent’s 900th anniversary greetings

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to fellow Belarusians as St. Euphrosyne Convent in Polotsk marks its 900th anniversary, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.

“The convent is rightfully the spiritual center of Belarus, a place of attraction for all Christians. People pray for healing and comfort at the relics of St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk, thanking her with love in their hearts for her help,” the message of greetings says.
Belarus cherishes an important part of its unique culture associated with the works of the Orthodox ascetic, Aleksandr Lukashenko said. “By completing the restoration of the convent and recreating its original beauty, we have made an invaluable contribution to the preservation of historical heritage. May faith in God strengthen the unity of the Belarusian people and multiply the country's achievements,” the president emphasized.
The head of state wished everyone happiness, good health, peace, and harmony.
