Lukashenko congratulates CIS leaders on 30th anniversary of CIS

Belarusian President, Chairman of the CIS Heads of State Council Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated the leaders of the CIS member states, as well as Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee - Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev on the 30th anniversary of the organization, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Over the past years, the organization has passed a long and difficult path, and proved its relevance and effectiveness. Today the CIS is the largest regional integration association in the post-Soviet space with a unique dialogue platform to promote close interaction between the participating states based on equality and partnership,” Aleksandr Lukashenko noted.
The head of state believes that thanks to the joint efforts, the CIS will keep effectively responding to the challenges and threats of our time remaining an important factor in international life.
