Easter greetings to Orthodox Christians

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended Easter greetings to the Orthodox Christians of Belarus on 12 April, Press Service of the President of the Republic of Belarus has learned.

“For each of us, this holiday is inseparably linked with the triumph of life and the greatness of self-sacrifice,” the message of greetings reads. “Easter traditions bring us together in the family circle. The special warmth of the celebration reminds us of the high purpose of man to care for one’s neighbors and help the suffering.”

The President noted that the spiritual strength of these spring days allows us to recognize the importance of Christian moral values and ideals.

“May the bright joy of the holiday bring wellbeing and harmony to our homes, and become an inexhaustible source of faith, love, and mercy,” Aleksandr Lukashenko wished.
