Swedes implant chips with vaccination certificate

A Swedish company showcased a new subdermal implant for COVID-19 vaccination certificates, meaning the possibility pierce an under-skin microchip with vaccination certification, ruptly.tv has learned.

Each implant consists of an Near Field Communications implant which contains data that can be retrieved with a reader device, such as a NFC-compatible smartphone.
“Implants are very versatile technology that can be used for many different things, and right now it is very convenient to have COVID passport always accessible on your implant,” commented Epicenter's Chief Disruption Officer Hannes Sjoblad.
“In case your phone runs out of battery, it’s always accessible to you” added Sjoblad.
