Russian scientists announce: 80% of people with COVID-19 have disturbances in the brain.

NUST MISIS science team from Lomonosov Moscow State University in collaboration with experts of «Sber» discovered neurological consequences of COVID-19. This was reported in the press office of the National University of Science and Technology, informs Аgency of Сity News "Moscow".

To determine the effect of COVID-19 on the brain, scientists used a neurointerface based on electroencephalography. The subjects were asked to read silently the words that were demonstrated for three seconds.

The results of the study showed that almost eighty percent of participants who have already had COVID-19 have some kind of brain disturbances.

72 volunteers took part in the experiment, 40 of them had not been ill with COVID-19 before.

Scientists also report that in the future this neurointerface can be used to assess and diagnose neurological deviations in people who have suffered COVID-19.
