Scientists at the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor have created a coronavirus detector. This technology allows to detect COVID at an early stage and at a minimum concentration as reported by the department.

The invention relates to the field of genetic engineering and biotechnology, the test system has a high sensitivity, does not require high-tech equipment and promptly gives the result.

The technology for determining COVID in a biomaterial sample is a complex of proteins: some of which are responsible for the amplification of the material, other proteins are responsible for recognizing the target sequence. It is these proteins and guide RNAs that are specific to a fragment of the SARS-CoV-2 virus genome that make this test system ultrasensitive, reacting to the minimum concentration of the virus, and also make it possible to detect single copies of its RNA in any biosample.
