Belarus mountaineers will climb Everest with pieces of eternal flame on the anniversary of the Great Victory

According to the head of the Belarusian Federation of Mountaineering Alexander Godlevsky, Belarusian mountaineers plan to climb Everest on the anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War with pieces of eternal flame from all over Belarus, as well as from some other countries.

During the ceremony of presenting awards that took place at the Palace of Independence Alexander Godlevsky expressed the words of gratitude to the Everest climbers, who raised the state flag of Belarus and a copy of the Victory Banner to the planet's highest point in May 2021. Alexander Godlevsky also thanked the head of state for the constant attention paid to the Belarusian mountaineering.

The head of the Belarusian Federation of Mountaineering informed the President about a great idea of the Belarusian climbers. They plan to put together all the eternal flame that burns in the cities of Belarus, unite them with the eternal flame of Russia, Kyrgyzstan and China, which suffered considerably during the Second World War, and raise it to Mount Everest on the next anniversary of the Great Victory.
