Plans to assemble Belarusian MTZ's tracked tractors in Russia's Bashkortostan

The Belarusian tractor manufacturer MTZ and Matriks Universal Company will set up an enterprise to assemble MTZ 2103 tracked tractors in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia, the MTZ press service told BelTA.

The relevant document was signed by MTZ Director General Vitaly Vovk and Deputy Prime Minister, Agriculture Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan Ilshat Fazrakhmanov on 4 October.

The agreement provides for shipping at least 50 tracked tractor assembly kits in 2023. The figure may be increased up to 100 kits in 2024-2025. MTZ will also take care of advanced training and retraining of Matriks Universal technical specialists. They will learn peculiarities of the tracked tractor MTZ 2103, operation conditions, and aftersales service.

In January-September 2022 MTZ shipped 247 tractors to Bashkortostan, 229% as against the same period of last year.

Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) was established on 29 May 1946. It was reincorporated into a holding company in August 2014. MTZ is one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural machines not only in the CIS states but the entire world. MTZ employs over 16,000 people. Customers are offered over 100 tractor models in more than 200 modifications for all climatic and operational conditions. New models boast great capabilities with regard to the aggregation of agricultural machines of various manufacturers. The public joint-stock company (OAO) MTZ designs, makes, and exports wheel tractors and spare parts, licenses their production abroad, organizes and offers aftersales service for sold vehicles, and offers personnel training with regard to operation and maintenance of the vehicles the company makes.
