Maksim Reshetnikov said: “We are building new logistic routes and are redirecting the transport traffic of our countries. In turn, we help export Belarusian potash fertilizers, oil products, and gravel to third countries with assistance of our transport infrastructure – railways and ports.”
“For instance, last year we helped export over 2 million tonnes of oil products via sea ports. This year the figure has already been exceeded: over 3 million tonnes has been shipped and this figure is likely to grow larger by the end of the year,” he noted.
“We are now polishing a seamless procedure for exporting Belarusian timber by road via Russia's territory. Including in order to enable the export of converted timber via individual sections of the border with EAEU countries. The relevant resolution is being formalized,” the official added.
A government hour took place during the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. It was dedicated to reviewing progress in executing Ordinance No.6 that the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia issued on 4 November 2021. The ordinance stipulates the main directions of realization of the Union State Foundation Treaty in 2021-2023.
