Belarus' industry minister shares outcomes of talks at Innoprom expo

On 11 July the Belarusian delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik held a series of talks with the Russian regional authorities on the sidelines of the International Industrial Fair Innoprom in Yekaterinburg. Taking part in the meetings was Belarus' Industry Minister Aleksandr Rogozhnik, BelTA has learned.

The series of the meetings started from the talks with Russia's Yaroslavl Oblast Deputy Governor Maksim Avdeyev. A roadmap was signed to intensify partnership between Yaroslavl Oblast and Belarus. The document outlines measures to promote cooperation in industry, agro-industrial complex, consumer market, transport, and tourism. “The implementation of the roadmap will give a new impetus to economic growth in Yaroslavl Oblast and Belarus,” said Aleksandr Rogozhnik.
Meetings were also held with Chairman of the Board of the Industrial Cluster of Russia's Republic of Tatarstan Sergei Mayorov and Russia's Perm Territory Governor Dmitry Makhonin. According to the industry minister of Belarus, cooperation prospects in trade and manufacturing were discussed at the meeting with Director General of the Russian Export Center Veronika Nikishina. In particular, the parties considered the possibility of expanding joint support for the manufacturing industry.
In addition, the Belarusian delegation met with Minister of Industrial Policy of Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation Dmitry Khmelko and Director General of Sinara - Transport Machines Viktor Lesh.
“The interaction in the industrial sector was discussed in detail during the meetings. It is always nice to see reliable partners who value our cooperation, are satisfied with our joint work and are determined to expand bilateral contacts. The most important outcome of today's meetings is confidence in the further highly effective cooperation. This means that Belarus and Russia will certainly reach new heights in their work to implement a common industrial policy, to achieve technological independence of the Union State and, in general, to strengthen their positions in the world,” Aleksandr Rogozhnik said.
