In an interview with Rossiya 24 TV channel, Dmitry Mezentsev, State Secretary of the Union State, expressed confidence that Belarusians will make the right decision in the upcoming presidential elections, Belta has learned.

"I have no doubt that on this day Belarus will make the right, accurate choice based on an understanding of the dynamism of the republic's development, obvious economic and social successes, and the cohesion of society and the Belarusian society," said the State Secretary of the Union State. According to him, this choice, among other things, should be based on an understanding of the unity of approaches between Russia and Belarus.
"The agreement within the framework of the Union State is not a one–second task, but the foundation for the long-term strategic development of both countries," Dmitry Mezentsev emphasized.
