The Zapad-2025 joint exercises demonstrated the Union State's military-technical superiority, in particular the impressive diversity of unmanned aerial vehicles, according to State Secretary of the Union State Sergey Glazyev.

According to the Union State Secretary, the exercises were part of the Union State's military-technical program, aimed at constructing and modernizing infrastructure for the joint force. Not only units from Belarus and Russia, but also military personnel from friendly countries in strategic partnership with the Union State, participated in the manoeuvres.

Glazyev emphasized that the modern battlefield is characterized by the widespread use of information technology and robotic systems. In this regard, the development of unmanned aerial vehicles is particularly important.

"I was personally amazed by the diversity of unmanned aerial vehicles and aircraft today, tracked and road vehicles, and automatic, remote-controlled small arms. In other words, the modern battlefield is currently oversaturated with information technology and robots. Our industry, it must be said, is responding to these challenges with honor. The diversity of unmanned aerial vehicles of all types, which complement each other and can operate together, is astounding," Glazyev noted.

According to him, domestic industry is adequately responding to modern challenges. The Secretary of State expressed confidence that mobilizing resources for the mass implementation of these developments will play a key role in strengthening the Union State's defense capability.
