Universities of Belarus, Russia's Tomsk sign agreement on cooperation

The Belarusian State Institute of Standardization and Certification (BelGISS) and Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics have signed a cooperation agreement, BelTA learned from the press service of the State Committee for Standardization.

The agreement on cooperation in standardization, metrology, compliance assessment and information support was signed by BelGISS Director Aleksandr Skuratov and Tomsk University Rector Viktor Rulevsky during the round table “Strategic priorities of scientific and technological development of the Russian Federation in the standardization of ultra-high-frequency and power electronics”. The event was organized on the sidelines of the Army 2023 forum in Moscow Oblast.

The document enshrines the intentions to cooperate in the development and application of standards and other normative documents on standardization, training manuals and methodological documents. The parties plan to carry out work on metrology, compliance assessment and information support, taking into account positions at the interstate and international level, as well as to implement joint projects.

The forms of cooperation will include joint research and development, exchange of information and experience, mutual consultations and participation in seminars and conferences, and personnel training.

The purpose of this agreement is to establish effective cooperation in the development of technical requirements for new products and technologies, as well as to improve the competence of personnel.
