FEZ Grodnoinvest-Russia’s Smolensk Oblast trade exceeds $16m in 2025

A cooperation agreement has been signed between the administration of the Grodnoinvest free economic zone (FEZ Grodnoinvest) and the Smolensk Region Investment Development Corporation, BelTA learned from FEZ Grodnoinvest.

A business meeting with a delegation from Russia’s Smolensk Oblast, led by Deputy Chairman of the Smolensk Oblast Government Alexey Streltsov, took place at the FEZ Grodnoinvest business center on 11 February. The meeting resulted in the signing of a cooperation agreement between the FEZ Grodnoinvest administration and the Smolensk Region Investment Development Corporation.

During the meeting, the trade, economic and investment potential of FEZ Grodnoinvest was presented to Russian businesses. A separate presentation covered the development project for the Grodno Industrial Park.

The event was organized by the FEZ administration together with the Grodno branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Representatives of FEZ resident enterprises took part in the meeting. The Russian side discussed promising areas of cooperation with the management of FEZ resident companies, assessed opportunities for industrial collaboration across various manufacturing sectors, and expressed interest in supplying Belarusian products to the Russian market. The Smolensk delegation also visited investment site No. 4, where they observed the progress of construction at the Grodno Industrial Park.

Grodnoinvest added that the Russian Federation is one of the FEZ’s key partners. In 2025, trade between FEZ residents and Russia’s Smolensk Oblast exceeded $16 million, with over $10 million accounted for by exports of Belarusian goods.
