The visitor's question concerned import customs duties on raw materials for the production of radiators for large machinery (locomotives, heavy dump trucks, tractors, etc.).

The enterprise represented by the citizen has long and successfully operated in the Belarusian market and also produces products for export. Due to the sanctions policy of the West, the Belarusian manufacturer was forced to change its production schemes and the schemes for importing raw materials.
The current situation is such that import duties on raw materials exceed duties on the import of finished products from abroad; as a result, the cost of Belarusian products increases, and consequently competitiveness is lost. The issue can be resolved through customs regulation for a specific raw material item.
The enterprise's products were recently personally reviewed by State Secretary of the Union State Sergei Glazyev during a visit to the Great Stone industrial park.
After thorough consideration in Belarus, the issue will be forwarded to the Standing Committee of the Union State.
