Nikolai Rogozhnik, Consul General of Belarus in St. Petersburg, visited Russia’s Murmansk and held a working meeting with Murmansk Oblast Governor Andrei Chibis, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia.

The parties reviewed outcomes of bilateral cooperation in 2025, the possibility of establishing a service center for Belarusian equipment in Murmansk Oblast, a number of infrastructure projects, as well as the timing and agenda of a planned visit by regional officials to Belarus.

The press service noted that the Consul General expressed words of solidarity regarding the regional state of emergency. He proposed that the region consider sourcing Belarusian energy equipment, for which he detailed potential preferential financing options.

Nikolai Rogozhnik also requested that Andrei Chibis ensure a comprehensive and objective investigation into the circumstances of the incident involving a Belarusian citizen during an ice-floating session on the Tuloma River earlier this year.

“During a visit to the bus depot utilizing our equipment, the Belarusian Consul General discussed with management the current operation of the vehicles, as well as prospects for expanding equipment supplies to the region,” the embassy added.
