The exhibition is based on the graphic works of Soviet artist Nikolai Zhukov, who was sent to Nuremberg and captured the accused in a series of drawings "Shadows of the Past." These portraits, provided by Russian partners, are complemented by physical evidence of crimes from the collections of the Belarusian museum.

"We have backed up the artistic evidence with material evidence. For example, there is a human skull, which was used as a souvenir by the Berlin Air Defense chief. This exhibit is rarely exhibited," said Rimma Rum, the museum's deputy director for scientific work. "Artifacts related to crimes in Belarus and shocking photographs from the Ozarichi camps are also shown."
At the opening of the exhibition, historian Valery Nadtachaev emphasized the continuing relevance of the lessons of Nuremberg. "Unfortunately, not everyone has learned these lessons. Today we see how former allies in the anti—Hitler coalition and the heirs of those who started the war sometimes find themselves in the same camp, opposing the condemnation of the glorification of Nazism," the scientist said.
The exhibition, which, according to the organizers, is especially important for the education of the younger generation, will be available to visitors until December 24, 2025.
