"The goal of our visit is to advance the cooperation that has a long history. For more than two decades, we have been working very actively with Belarus. We are constantly increasing trade, setting up joint ventures. I can say that we have doubled our joint volumes in manufacturing sector over the past five years. Half of farm machines in use in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast are Belarusian-made. We also use Belarusian elevators, tractors, and harvesters. Now we are jointly producing trams in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. We have set up an assembly facility as we seek to upgrade our entire tram fleet. There are many areas where we have cooperated actively over the past two decades," Yevgeny Lyulin noted.
According to him, a representative delegation from Nizhny Novgorod Oblast of more than 100 people is in Belarus on a visit. "Our delegation includes members of the government, members of the legislative body, heads of municipalities, representatives of culture, sports, industry, and agriculture. We will work hard to advance our cooperation with our Belarusian friends in all areas," Yevgeny Lyulin said. “We maintain ties with almost 200 countries. But Belarus always ranks in the first positions in terms of industry, trade, culture, sport, science and education. Therefore, we pay great attention to cooperation with the Republic of Belarus."
