The 7th Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum is taking place in Cholpon-Ata, on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul. Approximately 1,500 participants have registered for the forum. Among the guests and speakers of the event is Sergey Glazyev, the State Secretary of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.

This year, the forum is dedicated to the topic "Digital Sovereignty as a Factor of Stable Growth and Technological Cooperation in the EAEU."

Sergey Glazyev, State Secretary of the Union State, criticized the EU's governance institutions during his speech at the economic forum in Cholpon-Ata. According to Sergey Glazyev, the European Union has transformed into a bureaucratic empire by trampling on national sovereignty.

"I can say that when we created the Customs Union, we looked at the EU, which has now become a bureaucratic empire that has trampled on national sovereignty. This is not the case in the EAEU, where all decisions are made by consensus. We have ambitious goals and objectives... Of course, we are not ready to implement everything at once, but we will work together step by step," said the State Secretary of the Union State.

He emphasized the importance of harmonizing the regulatory framework to equalize the rights of citizens and business entities, which is a priority for the Eurasian Economic Union.

The program of the 7th Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum includes discussions on key issues related to the development of the EAEU, including strengthening economic stability.
