Moscow and Saint Petersburg remain the most popular destinations, accounting for nearly 87% of direct passenger traffic,” the press service reported.

To meet passenger demand on Russia routes, 22 train pairs are currently operating. “Additional trains are scheduled on weekends and holidays when needed, serving Moscow and Saint Petersburg routes. In January-July 2025, 156 extra trains were scheduled, including 109 operated by Belarusian Railways, which transported over 100,000 passengers,” Belarusian Railways noted.
