Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Nicaragua

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Nicaragua President José Daniel Ortega Saavedra and the brotherly people as the country celebrates the Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"Effective social and economic policies, consistent activities of Nicaragua in the international arena with adherence to the principles of sovereign equality of states are respected and supported in Belarus," the president said in his felicitation message.

The intensification of ties between Minsk and Managua will yield tangible results in the near future, will contribute to the stable and creative development of the two countries and the growth of the well-being of citizens, the Belarusian leader is convinced.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished José Daniel Ortega Saavedra good health and fruitful work, and peace and prosperity to the people of Nicaragua.
