The formation of precinct election commissions for the presidential election is being finalised in Belarus. They should be formed no later than 30 days before the main voting day. It was announced in the live broadcast of STV TV channel

As previously reported by the Central Election Commission, more than 5,000 precinct commissions will be set up for the presidential election. Their formation takes into account the experience of citizens in organising and conducting elections, knowledge of electoral legislation and skills in working with people. The main tasks of members of precinct commissions are to maintain voter lists, organise voting, count ballots and summarise results at the polling station. The formation of commissions for the presidential election is under the supervision of international experts.

In particular, representatives of the CIS Observer Mission travelled to the regions of Belarus to familiarise themselves with the election campaign. Recall that the CIS Mission started its work on 18 December. Currently, 93 international observers are accredited to observe the presidential election.
