A priority for the coming years will be the creation of new Union State tourism products with a focus on industrial, patriotic, and health tourism. Expert groups will be formed to facilitate an active dialogue between specialists from the two countries. The first such project will be a car tourist route along the M-1 "Belarus" highway.
The Russian side has already prepared projects and a regulatory framework for the new products and submitted them to their Belarusian counterparts for approval. The documents are expected to be approved at the next meeting of the Union State working group this spring.
Igor Maksimov also reported that tourist flow between Russia and Belarus increased by 6% by the end of 2025. However, precise figures are difficult to estimate due to the open borders. One of the current priorities is the development of unified approaches to monitoring and evaluating tourist flows between the countries, which may involve additional tools, such as roaming data analysis.
