PHOTOfact: Match meeting in athletics among the teams of the Union State

On July 16-17, boys and girls born in 2007 and younger compete for 41 sets of medals in Brest at a Match meeting in athletics among the teams of the Union State dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders. The teams of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation take part in the competitions, Soyuz.by has learned.

The strongest athletes from Belarus and Russia under the age of 18 take part in the competition. There are 41 disciplines in the program, eight participants are announced in each of them – four representatives from each country. The winners of the tournament are determined both separately in each type of program and in the team competition.
After the first day of the competition, the Belarusian team won 22 medals: 8 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze. The Russian national team has 44 medals on its account: 14 gold, 15 silver and 15 bronze.
