Russia, Belarus expanding cooperation in aviation

Russia and Belarus are expanding cooperation in the aviation sector. This matter was discussed at the meeting between Chairman of the State Authority for Military Industry of Belarus Dmitry Pantus and Deputy Director General of the Russian United Aircraft Corporation Alexander Bobryshev on the sidelines of the international arms and defense technology expo MILEX 2025 in Minsk on 21 May, BelTA learned from the committee. 

This meeting is especially relevant amid the ongoing work to ramp up Belarus-Russia cooperation in the aviation industry, the State Authority for Military Industry noted.

The participants in the meeting reviewed  progress to intensify industrial cooperation. It pertains, among other things, to the production of aircraft  component parts for various types of aircraft by Belarusian organizations.

During the first day of MILEX 2025, Dmitry Pantus also held talks with Director General of Uralvagonzavod Alexander Potapov to discuss cooperation between Belarusian defense organizations and enterprises affiliated with Uralvagonzavod, including collaborations while fulfilling state defense orders of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.
