Coronavirus drug, reagents, respirators to be delivered from China to Belarus on 25 April

A drug for treating coronavirus patients, reagents, and respirators will be delivered from China to Belarus on 25 April.

As many as 310 units of the antiviral drug Favipiravir, which has proven its effectiveness at treating coronavirus patients, will be delivered from China to Minsk by air. The aircraft will also deliver 9,600 test kits and 200,000 respirators of the KN95 model. The assets will be donated to organizations of the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry, BelTA learned from representatives of Energo-Oil Company, which intends to have 88 million disposable masks delivered from China.

In April the company already bought about 50,000 coronavirus test kits from China and donated them to the Healthcare Ministry for consequent distribution among hospitals. The total sum of investments in assistance to Belarusian medics is tentatively estimated at $1 million.
