Over 4.9m tonnes of sugar beet harvested in Belarus

Belarus has removed 4,907,400 tonnes of sugar beet from 100,400 hectares, with the yields standing at 488.8 centners per hectare, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

As of 16 November, Belarus harvested 9,465,300 tonnes of grain, including rapeseed.

Corn was harvested from 245,000 hectares of land. Some 2,032,000 tonnes of corn kernels were threshed, with the yields averaging 97.4 centners per hectare. Some 22,862,100 tonnes of corn for silage were cropped so far.

Belarus harvested a total of 182,200 tonnes of vegetables from 5,740 hectares. The yield was 317.4 centners per hectare.

Some 9,73,500 tonnes of grass was cropped, which is 95.9% of the target.
