CIS states support Belarus and Russia in their efforts to develop new transport corridors, which are necessary in conditions of the sanctions-fuelled Western pressure, BelTA learned from Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Igor Petrishenko after a session of the CIS Economic Council in Moscow on 8 December.

Igor Petrishenko said: “Today we have approved and will suggest that the heads of state should sign a document, which regulates aspects of operation of the transport corridors North-South and West-East. In other words, we have redirected the traffic to the countries and to the areas that look forward to receiving our goods, the goods that are in demand and are competitive on these markets.”
