Economic bills should be worked out in the shortest possible time with wide involvement of interested parties, Igor Sergeyenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, said at the meeting of the Council of the House of Representatives on 3 March, BelTA has learned.

“All economic draft laws should create the necessary conditions to ensure clear rules of conduct for all participants based on the principle of fairness, reduce excessive regulation, promote business activities, decriminalize economic risks. They should be prepared in the shortest possible time with wide involvement of interested parties to ensure a thorough elaboration of the consequences of the adoption of legal acts,” Igor Sergeyenko said.
This applies to the draft laws on auditing activities, on real estate activities, which are being finalized for the second reading, “On independent assessment and certification of qualifications”, which is being adjusted for the first reading, taking into account the position of government agencies, the speaker said. “It is necessary to finally decide on the draft law on tax counseling, to find consensus with the government on the document,” he stressed.

“A bill on taxation in part of business activities has been recently submitted to the House of Representatives. If there are no fundamental comments on it, the bill should be further submitted for consideration, maybe even in two readings at once,” Igor Sergeyenko added. “Today we are set to hear from the chairpersons of commissions about the progress on the bills that are in the House of Representatives and the prospects of lawmaking to plan the agenda of the upcoming meeting scheduled for 24 March.”
