Belarusian microelectronics industry develops in tight cooperation with Russia

The development of the microelectronics industry proceeds in tight cooperation with the Russian Federation. Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Piotr Parkhomchik mentioned it at a joint session of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus on 22 November, BelTA has learned.

Piotr Parkhomchik said: “The government has passed a program on developing Belarus' microelectronics industry till 2030. All the documents on cooperation in this area have been signed with the Russian side, including a roadmap, which provides for creating four new technologies to master the manufacturing of 88 products.”

In his words, over Br1 billion will be spent on implementing the program in 2023-2030. “The realization of 4 out of 8 investment projects of the program by the holding companies Integral and Planar has already begun. A feasibility study for another three projects has begun,” the deputy prime minister noted.
