Belarusian Cement Company has started implementing the agreements reached during last week's meeting of Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Governor of Russia's Moscow Oblast Andrei Vorobyov. In particular, setting up a manufacturing facility in Moscow Oblast was suggested, representatives of Belarusian Cement Company told BelTA.

Among concrete avenues for advancing cooperation between Belarus and the Russian region Aleksandr Lukashenko mentioned the production of concrete. The president remarked that there are plans to set up a facility in Moscow Oblast to make dry building mixes based on Belarusian cement. He suggested adding the production of concrete to the project. In his words, the Belarusian Architecture and Construction Ministry is ready to work out logistics and possible locations of concrete mixing facilities together with Moscow Oblast.

After the president met with the Moscow Oblast governor, representatives of the holding company Belarusian Cement Company led by Director General Aleksandr Dovgalo left for Moscow Oblast and began realizing the agreements reached during the president's meeting with the governor.

Belarusian Cement Company representatives noted that during the visit possible locations were examined for building a proprietary manufacturing and logistics complex of Belarusian Cement Company in Moscow Oblast. Negotiations took place with Deputy Chairwoman of the Moscow Oblast Government Yekaterina Zinovyeva to discuss additional possible locations, which may be used for this project, as well as the procedure and terms of investing in the construction of the Belarusian manufacturing and logistics complex.

“The creation of this facility will secure permanent availability of Belarusian Cement Company products directly in the sales region and will enable more advantageous logistic conditions for Russian partners. Belarusian Cement Company will be able to significantly expand its capabilities for delivering products to consumers that have no access to the railway grid and will be able to introduce a more convenient and accessible level of client service,” the company stressed.

The manufacturing and logistics complex will include a railway terminal and an automobile terminal where wagons with cement will be received, where cement will be stored, and products will be loaded onto trucks. The complex will also include a factory to make dry building mixes and a line to manufacture ready-mix concrete, an indoor site and an outdoor site to store and sell foamed concrete blocks, reinforced-concrete goods, and other construction materials.

By the way, in 2023 Belarusian Cement Company noticeably stepped up cooperation with the Russian Federation. The company opened its third trade platform in Russia in April: the trading house BCC Union. It improved the quality of logistics for delivering BCC products to Russia. The efforts resulted in a record-high cement export volume. Enterprises of Belarusian Cement Company have shipped over 2 million tonnes of cement to Russia this year.
