Belarus' vegetable harvest at 183,000 tonnes

Belarus has harvested a total of 183,400 tonnes of vegetables, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

As of 17 November, Belarus harvested 9,472,700 tonnes of grain, including rapeseed.

Corn was harvested from 246,000 hectares of land. Some 2,039,400 tonnes of corn kernels were threshed, with the yields averaging 97.8 centners per hectare. Some 22,869,100 tonnes of corn for silage were cropped so far.

Belarus removed 4,931,100 tonnes of sugar beet from 100,700 hectares, with the yields standing at 489.9 centners per hectare.

Belarus harvested a total of 183,400 tonnes of vegetables from 5,770 hectares. The yield is 317.9 centners per hectare.

Some 9,278,200 tonnes of grass was cropped, which is 96% of the target.
