Belarus, Russia sign action plan in manufacturing for 2024-2026

The Industry Ministries of Belarus and Russia have signed an action plan for 2024-2026, BelTA learned from the press service of the Industry Ministry.

Belarusian Industry Minister Aleksandr Rogozhnik held a meeting with First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Vasily Osmakov of Russia.
The talks focused on the practical results of joint work in the Union State and ways of expanding cooperation within the framework of the unified industrial policy.
Following the talks the parties signed an action plan to implement the main guidelines to the Union State Treat for 2024-2026 in part of the agreement between the governments of Belarus and the Russian Federation on the common industrial policy. The document was signed by Aleksandr Rogozhnik and Vasily Osmakov.
For this purpose the parties shall ensure the common industrial policy and adopt the necessary national and bilateral regulatory legal acts, and also the legislation of the Union State, according to the document.
The parties shall pursue a coordinated policy in terms of the investment and cooperation projects with the priority involvement of enterprises of the Union State, taking into account their competencies.
The parties shall implement import-substituting investment and cooperation projects and prepare new projects within the framework of the Union State. Among the areas of cooperation are the roadmap for cooperation in microelectronics, the roadmap for cooperation in machine tool building, shall coordinate joint work in agricultural and automotive engineering and advance cooperation in the field of elevator construction and specialized engineering, including the equipment for airports.
The action plan also provides for steps to implement the agreements on the recognition of technological operations carried out on the territory of the Union State.
The Industry Ministries shall provide mutual non-discriminatory participation in subsidized programs, preferential leasing, and procurement.
The press service recalled that Belarus and Russia signed four important intergovernmental agreements for 2022-2023: on the common industrial policy; on the recognition of technological operations in the Union State; on microelectronic technologies, design and production of electronic components and electronic engineering; on the machine tool industry.
