Amkodor chief: Russia is a very promising market, so are non-CIS countries

The Russian Federation remains Amkodor's key market. “Every year we launch several new production sites there. Our biggest factories in Russia are Amkodor-Onego in Petrozavodsk where machinery for the timber industry is manufactured, and Amkodor-Bryansk, a major manufacturer of road construction equipment and utility vehicles,” Andrei Yarotsky said.

Amkodor-Agidel, a factory that will make drying complexes for post-harvest grain processing, will be soon commissioned in Ufa, Bashkortostan. “The enterprise was built within the shortest possible time - within just nine months. At the moment, commissioning works are underway there,” he said.

Not long ago Amkodor embarked on construction works on the premises of the former Lipetsk Tractor Plant. At the first stage, 220,000 square meters of area will be reconstructed and built up. The investments are estimated at about RUB40 billion.

The holding company also cooperates with Moscow and St. Petersburg. “Design works to build a factory producing utility vehicles near St. Petersburg is on the home stretch. In addition, the opening of a trading house in Moscow is under discussion,” the company chief added.

“In general, quite a lot of proposals are coming from Russian regions regarding the manufacture of our products there. We have worked out issues related to logistics, supplies of raw materials, and access to consumers. Therefore, we are considering proposals from several Russian regions to build new production capacities there. We view the Russian Federation as a very promising market, yet we maintain our focus on non-CIS countries,” Andrei Yarotsky noted.
