About 50 tons of pears and animal feed were transported from Belarus to Russia without documentation

Customs officials have identified three violations of the law during the transportation of approximately 50 tons of pears and animal feed to Russia, the State Customs Committee press service reported.

In the first case, Gomel customs officers stopped two Belarusian trucks in the Dobrush district, which were transporting 40 tons of pears without the necessary shipping documents, including product safety certificates. The total value of the illegally exported fruit was approximately 270,000 Belarusian rubles.
In the second case, also without any documents, a Belarusian truck was transporting over 7.5 tons of animal feed, valued at over 107,000 Belarusian rubles, bound for Russia. This was discovered by Mogilev customs officers during special operations near the Belarusian-Russian border.
Administrative proceedings have been initiated against the carriers under Article 13.12 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Belarus. Violators will face a fine of up to 50% of the value of the item they are committing the administrative offense.
