Belarus-Russia Union State PA to convene for videoconference on 7 July

The 58th session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia will be held as a videoconference on 7 July.

The MPs are set to to recognize the powers of the representatives of the Council of the Republic and the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus delegated to the Parliamentary Assembly. The session will also elect the first vice speaker and vice speaker of the Parliamentary Assembly. New members will be approved and commission chairmen will be elected too.

“One of the main items on the agenda is the consideration of the progress in the implementation of the plan of events of the Union State for 2019-2020 dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War,” the press service noted. “A number of budget issues will be on the agenda of the meeting. Plans are in place to give consideration to the issue of introducing the amendments and additions to the decree “On the Union State budget 2020” of the Supreme State Council of the Union State,” the press service added.
