Vladimir Makei spoke about measures Belarus is taking to stabilize the situation in the country, the modalities of the future dialogue on the constitutional reform, and contacts with Western partners and international structures regarding these issues. He also thanked Russia for its balanced, reasonable, and consistent stance, for its support for Belarus' sovereignty and independence, and for criticism of external pressure on Belarus.
The parties noted that an attempt to implement the aggressive scenario of a color revolution in Belarus had been foiled. In view of this, they also focused on regional and international security. The foreign ministers expressed confidence, that all Belarus-Russia agreements in the bilateral, multilateral, and integration formats as well as allied obligations will facilitate the stabilization of the situation in Belarus.
