Belarus receives Russia's EpiVacCorona vaccine

Russia has delivered a new coronavirus vaccine, EpiVacCorona, to Belarus, Head of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being [Rospotrebnadzor] Anna Popova told reporters following her meeting with Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, BelTA has learned.

“Today I have handed over a new vaccine, EpiVacCorona, as a gift to Belarus, a testimony of our strong friendship. I am sure this vaccine will help keep frontline health workers and people of Belarus healthy. Today we have also handed over new-generation test kits to detect the virus,” Anna Popova said.
Belarus' Healthcare Minister Dmitry Pinevich spoke highly of the new Russian vaccine. “We certainly hope that this vaccine will be supplied in larger quantities, and that it will be highly instrumental in our efforts to combat the coronavirus. It is a very good vaccine, it is rated very highly,” Dmitry Pinevich said.
Earlier, the Russian consumer health watchdog announced that the immunological efficacy of the EpiVacCorona vaccine is 100% based on the results of Phase I and II trials.
