Belarus' Aliaksandra Sasnovich and Ekaterina Alexandrova of Russia have reached the San Diego Open doubles quarterfinal, seeing off Caroline Dolehide and Claire Liu of the United States, 7-6 (8-6), 6-4, BelTA has learned.

Aliaksandra Sasnovich, ranked 102nd in the world, defeated Olympic champion, Switzerland's world number 15 Belinda Bencic, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2, to advance to the singles second round. The Belarusian will next face world number 61 Emma Navarro of the United States.
The tournament in San Diego will be over on 16 September.
