Olympics 2024: Belarusian Kravets into Men's K-1 1000m semifinal

Belarusian Uladzislau Kravets is off to a good start at the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad in Paris, BelTA has learned.

On Wednesday afternoon, Kravets competed in Men's K-1 1000m Heat 1. The race featured sprint canoeists from the USA, Portugal, Morocco, Samoa and Refugee Olympic Team. Two top finishes advance to the semifinal. In the second half of the race, the Belarusian was third but then overtook Jonas Ecker of the USA and eventually came in second with a time of 3:32.07. The Belarusian was two seconds behind two-time Olympic medalist Fernando Pimenta of Portugal.

The Men's K-1 1000m semifinal will be held on Saturday, 10 August, around 12.10, with the final two hours later.
