NOC president congratulates Team Belarus on successful performance at world championships

President of the Belarusian National Olympic Committee Viktor Lukashenko congratulated the canoe sprint team on its successful performance at the 2024 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, BelTA has learned.

In Uzbekistan, Team Belarus won four gold, four silver and three bronze medals.
“The medals that you won competing against the world sports elite are a brilliant result of selfless work, discipline, perseverance and skill. Despite tough international pressure and difficult conditions, you represented Belarus with dignity and proved that our athletes have only become stronger, and together we are able to cope with any external circumstances. Let these medals be an inspiration and a vivid example for the younger generation of young athletes,” – the head of the NOC said in his congratulatory message.
Viktor Lukashenko noted that the Belarusian canoe sprint school deservedly has the status of one of the best in the world, and expressed gratitude to the coaching staff and all the specialists who contributed to the medal results.
