Dzinara Smolskaya wins Super Sprint at Russian Biahtlon Championship

Dzinara Smolskaya of Belarus secured a victory at the first stage of the Russian Biathlon Championship in Tyumen, BelTA has learned.

Dzinara Smolskaya clinched gold in the Women’s Super Sprint with one penalty. At the finish line the Belarusian biathlete was four seconds ahead of Tamara Derbusheva from Sverdlovsk Oblast. Third was Elizaveta Kaplina from the team of Bashkortostan (10 seconds behind the winner).

As for other Belarusian participants, Irina Shakleina was seventh, Hanna Sola – 10th, Kseniia Varabei – 13th, Darya Kudayeva, Alina Zaitseva and Adelina Sabitava came in 25th, 26th and 27th respectively. Anna Pestereva failed to qualify.

Earlier today, Ilya Auseyenka of Belarus clinched silver in the Men’s Super Sprint.
