Dzinara Alimbekava wins mass start at Commonwealth Biathlon Cup

The third stage of the Commonwealth Biathlon Cup featuring athletes from Belarus and Russia completed in the Almaz biathlon center in Ryazan, Russia, BelTA has learned.

Dzinara Alimbekava of Belarus won the final mass start. The Belarusian was also victorious in the super sprint a day earlier. In the mass start Dzinara Alimbekava made one penalty to finish ahead of Russia's Victoria Slivko and Russia's Tamara Derbusheva. Top Ten also included Belarus' Darya Kudayeva who placed seventh.

In the men's mass start Mikita Labastau of Belarus was third to cross the finish line behind winner Roman Yeremin and his teammate Vasily Tomshin. Anton Smolski of Belarus placed fourth, Belarus' Dzmitry Lazouski placed fifth. Stsiapan Danilau of Belarus came in eighth.

The fourth stage of the Commonwealth Cup is due to take place in Raubichi on 19-22 January.
