Belarus’ Sola wins women’s pursuit at Russian Biathlon Championships

Belarusian athletes are competing at the Russian Biathlon Championships at the Pearl of Siberia Biathlon Center, BelTA has learned.

Hanna Sola of Belarus won the 10km Women’s Pursuit in 33:21.8, with two penalties. Silver went to Polina Shevnina of Russia. Russia’s Victoria Slivko collected bronze.

At the tournament in Chaykovsky in January 2024 Hanna Sola finished second in the Women’s Super Sprint.

As for other Belarusians, Dzinara Smolskaya placed 15th in pursuit, Adelina Sabitava – 31st, Darya Kudayeva - 39th among 46 participants.

In the Men’s Pursuit Anton Smolski was close to the podium, finishing one second behind Alexander Loginov and Eduard Latypov for the silver and bronze contention.
