Three Belarusian freestyle skiers will compete at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy, BelTA learned from the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.

Due to a quota reallocation in aerials, the number of Belarusian women in the Olympic tournament has increased from one to three. Following the qualification period, only Hanna Huskova had secured a direct berth to the Games, having finished in the top ten three times in World Cup stages.

On 21 January, it was confirmed that Anna Derugo and Anastasia Andrianova would also receive additional quota spots. Although our athletes participated in three World Cup stages and were unable to advance past the qualifying round, the points they earned were sufficient to place them within the top 30 of the overall rankings.

As a result, seven of our female athletes will compete in the upcoming Winter Olympics. In addition to the freestyle skiers, they include Maryna Zuyeva (speed skating), Viktoriia Safonova (figure skating), Hanna Karaliova (cross-country skiing), and Maria Shkanova (alpine skiing).

The 2026 Winter Olympics will be held in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, from 6 to 22 February.
